Q M7J1: Research at Work Journal Re-submit Assignment • Due Sunday by 11:59pm • Points 100 • Submitting a text entry box or a file upload • Available after Aug 27 at 12am For your Module 7 Journal, you are required to reflect upon the process of locating sources for your topic and then using those sources to develop a research essay. Now that you are at the end of Module 7, you have spent four weeks researching and developing your essay. What have you learned about the research and writing process over the last four weeks? Please respond to the following questions in your journal: 1. What was the most difficult part of locating quality sources on your topic in Module 6? What was the most rewarding? 2. How did you find an angle for your research essay from the sources you have collected? 3. What lessons did you learn about writing an essay from sources in this module? What would you do differently next time? 4. Do you have any questions about writing from sources before you write similar essays in other classes? Your journal entry should be at least 200 words in length. Please remember that only you and your professor will have access to your journal. See the Course Calendar for due dates for posts and responses. Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor. Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors. When you are ready to submit your work, click “Submit Assignment” in the upper right corner. Click on “Browse,” browse your computer, and select your file. Click “Open” and verify the correct file name has appeared next to the Browse button. Enter your comments, if any, in the Comments area. Click on “Submit Assignment.” Evaluation This assignment will be graded using the rubric displayed below. Please review this rubric prior to beginning your work. You can also access the rubric on the Course Rubrics page within the Start Here module. All journal entries together make up 10% of the total course grade.
